The following seasonal workshops are hosted at Gallery West any time from November 1^st   until January 6^th.   Just visit or call the gallery to schedule your sessions.

 

GREEN CHRISTMAS

In this studio, we’ll learn how to make truly stunning wreaths, centerpieces, and garlands that you can take with you.  Deck your own halls, or pass your creations along to others as great gifts! 

 

$45 per session or $55 for two sessions.

 

We will use fresh cut greenery.  This and all other materials are provided; bring pruning shears and work gloves if you have them.  Recommended for age 10 to adult. 

 

       

 

OLD WORLD CALLIGRAPHY

 

In this workshop, we’ll explore and recreate the beautiful lettering styles found all over Europe.  This art form offers the perfect finish for all of your holiday greeting cards!  (Haven’t bought cards to send out yet?  Then we can take the time to create our own!!)  Though perfectly suited to the holiday season, this workshop is offered year round!  Pens and inks provided.   Recommended for age 8 to adult.   

 

$8 per session or $30 for a whole series. (4 wks)

Merry Christmas from Latin America!  Take a Christmas holiday tour with us!  In this studio, we’ll celebrate Christmas traditions from Mexico, Costa Rica, Bolivia and Colombia.  This studio includes painting, some drawing, Papier-mâché and other paper crafts, and yes, some edible Latin American treats!  Recommended for age 8 to adult. 

 

$12 per session or $45 for a whole series. (4 wks.)     

 

*this studio is also great for students who are currently taking Spanish in school and are interested in learning more about Latin American culture & traditions.  Can be taught in Spanish.
